This year we'll be holding our annual "ohanami picnic" on Sunday, April 4th, at Yoyogi Koen.
From Yoyogi-koen Station (Chiyoda-sen), you would head towards Sangubashi (not towards NHK) until you come to a large parking lot/entrance where there are both steps and a wheelchair access [l-o-n-g, winding ramp]. At the top of those stairs, turn left and follow the path until you reach a concession stand on the left side where they sell refreshments. We'll be right after that building, on that same (left) side. If you come to the place where they rent bicycles, that would be too far.
This is a pot luck party so everyone should bring something to eat. I'm arranging for us to order "Egyptian bentos" if anyone's interested. They have things like chicken curry, lamb curry, spinach curry, humus, felafils, etc. Please let me know if you're interested and I can put an order in for you.
I'll try to provide a large tarp but if you have a little sheet to sit on that would be nice. Bring your 'ukulele, invite your hula dancing friends and visitors from out of town.....everyone is welcome!
I'll be there early to get a spot but if you can get there by 12 noon, that would be best so we can all start eating at the same time.
IF IT RAINS, we will try to hold another picnic on Sunday, April 18th.
